Welcome to The Frenchtown Inn A newly renovated Bed & Breakfast located just three short city blocks from Historic Main Street which features over two dozen restaurants, Ameristar Casino and over 120 antique stores and shops along its fourteen block length. Whether you decide to ride in a horse drawn carriage, bike along the Katy Trail, visit one of the local museums, relax at the winery or walk just along the brick paved streets in the historic district, your time here will be fondly remembered.
The Frenchtown Inn was built in 1833 for John Orrick, a steamboat captain and local merchant. He lived here with his wife and ten children until the late 1800's. The home was later was owned by a well-known local physician named Dr. Mudd who ran his practice from the house for decades. The building and gardens have been refurbished over the last three years into a place with historic elegance of a bygone era with all the amenities of a modern hotel.
Come relax in a quiet secluded atmosphere in the bedroom suite which has a king four poster bed, sitting area and large bathroom with marble shower and air-jet whirlpool tub. Enjoy a warm cup of coffee or late night drink on the rear private veranda while relaxing.
